How the Hackathon Works

There are three phases to Build with Celo. 

Phase 1: Ideas

In this phase, you’ll form your project team and submit your idea for a project that solves impactful problems for its users and the Celo community. Once the Celo Foundation Developer Relations team has approved your idea, you can begin building your project and shipping your code.

Phase 2: Build

Get started right away.

In this phase, you’ll build your project and take advantage of technical workshops and developer office hours provided by the Celo Foundation Developer Relations team and several ecosystem partners.

At the end of Phase 2, all projects will be judged and the top 25 selected by the Celo Developer Relations team and several ecosystem partner representatives. Those top projects will move forward into Phase 3: Pitch, which will begin in January 2023.

Phase 3: Pitch  

In this phase, the top 25 teams chosen by judges in Phase 2 will receive hands-on support from Celo ecosystem partners to help turn their visions into reality. Support includes access to VCs, mentors, angel investors, and much more.
